had a go at an agency got sent to do some work on bradford council flats  me and another guy did  2 blocks  in 3 days  (acsess areas  6 landings  6 staircases drill+plug noseings in safety flooring ) bloody freezing cold no heating allowedand we all know what happens to saftey flooring when its freezing cold ,  working off generators  all for 50 quid a day , 7:30 till 4pm couldnt leave early neither.  then get told i wasnt needed  again because we were not fast enough ..... i wasnt happy like , the agency said there are no problems with the standard of work  it was just not enough done ......  now i gotto admit i am not the fastest fitter in the world as i prefere quality rather than quantity , and they told me they just wanted it thrown down as it was council  propertys . not once even after i asked  how much work was expected or set to do per day.... just told what gets done gets done ,
   
the big question is : is this enough work for the crappy cash  or what??????  what is expected theese days workwise???
speed or quality ????
has anyone tried the alpro kneepads ?  just bought some , lil expensive but told their the best ,

 love the saftey floor work and done hundreds of social houses  and never ever been told i was too slow ,and  never had a complaint about the standard of my workmanship  :-D   its  put me right off agency wotk  thoe lol ,

i work for c.b. contracts who have enough
work till 2010.
they just cut our hourly rate by 5%
we were only on 9.60 per hour
cash flow problems but still plenty of overtime
if wanted.could be worse.
